ReadSpeaker
All current Students, Staff, and Faculty have access to ReadSpeaker as members of the University.
ReadSpeaker is a text-to-speech tool that reads digital text aloud. It is able to support you with following along with course materials, can help you study more efficiently, as well as with many other things.
How to begin using the ReadSpeaker Web Portal:
- Visit:
- sign in using the "Sign in with Office 365" button.
How to Use ReadSpeaker on Canvas:
- Look for the read speaker logo or a "listen" button. (Usually on the bottom left of the screen or next to the title.)
- Click the "Listen" or the play button.
- You can also click the 3 bars next to the "Listen" button to change your reading settings.
How to Install the ReadSpeaker Browser Extension:

Click the 3-Vertical dots in the bottom left of the screen.
- Choose "Web Reading"
- Choose either "Computer" or "Mobile"
- Choose the web browser that you would like to use.
